You’re engaged! YAY! How freakin’ exciting for you two! I’m just as excited that you’re thinking of me to design your invitations and all the fun stuff for your wedding day! Your wedding stationery is the first glimpse your guests will get to see of the wedding day you have planned, so let’s wow them with something awesome that perfectly sums up your love for each other! I know all of this wedding planning is totally overwhelming, but this is the fun stuff, and I will be with you every step of the way. Here is a little summary of my design process.
1. Let’s Chat!
To start this super fun process, just fill out the Invitation Questionnaire. It will give me an overview of your stationery needs. I will email you within 2 business days, to discuss any questions either of us may have.
2. Proposal & Pricing
I’ll create a custom proposal estimate showing the total pricing for your stationery. We can tweak the proposal based on your budget, and any additions during the design process. If we are both super excited about working together we will set up a time to chat (via Skype or phone, or in person) so that we can go over all the details! (like paper options, whether to go with letterpress or foil, and if a wax seal would be perfect or maybe we should go with some hand dyed ribbon!)
3. Contract & Deposit
I’ll create a personalized timeline for your project, and I’ll send over a contract for you to sign. At this time a 50% deposit will be due and I’ll start designing!
Let the fun part begin! You will receive your first proofs about 2 weeks after designing begins. I’ll take all of those little details we talked about in the consult and I’ll create two initial design options for you to review via email. You’ll decide which option you love more and want to refine into the perfect Invitation!
Don’t worry if you want to see a different typeface, want to change the wording a bit, or you love the illustration from option one, but like the layout of option two, I can make that happen during revisions! All orders include three complimentary rounds of revisions.
Once everything is perfect, I will get all the files ready for printing and email you a digital proof to look over one last time. You’ll sign a print approval form and the remaining balance will be due before printing. I work with a handful of printers who are experts in what they do and I trust them fully to translate your final design from the screen to your hand.
7. Printing & Shipping
This is where the magic happens! Through a variety of printing techniques, each piece of your stationery suite will become a tangible, physical, amazing piece that will wow your guests from the moment they are mailing back their RSVP cards, to the last dance of the night! All will be shipped fully insured and will be invoiced separately (local delivery is also available). Flat printed stationery takes 2-3 weeks for printing, and specialty printing (letterpress, screen printing, foil) can take 6-7 weeks to complete.
